North-West Europe Conference

Europe finds itself in a crucial period of transition. Germany, the Netherlands and Scandinavia in particular form a stable economic region sharing similar economic conditions. Nevertheless, this new 'Core-Europe' faces particular challenges. The transition to renewable energy will create new industrial locations. The growth of mobility and trade will challenge the known logistical routes and concepts. On top of that, megatrends such as individualisation, urbanisation and the ageing population will change consumer behaviour dramatically.

The North-West Europe Conference on friday november 23rd 2012 at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce highlighted major developments and opportunities for the region between Amsterdam and Helsinki. For the first time companies from networks of five German Chambers of Commerce abroad and the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce shared their knowledge about the development of the Nordth and Baltic Sea region and created a framework for an international exchange of ideas.
